Intro

Zdravo. I'm new here, but I've lurked here for the past nearly two years.

About

I live in Serbia and study IT. I'm obsessed with politics. I'm a fake leftist and a hypocrite. I'm also an autochauvinist and more Western than Serbian.

I loathe conservatism and traditionalism, but the more I hate it, the more I love it. I think it will make me better and I don't want to be seen as if'm fallen from Mars. I have to break from Western bubble. I also suffer from right wing brain rot.

Anyway, I'm also a Halo fan. Flat-Earthers and globe-Earthers are wrong. Earth is ring shaped and is a weapon.

Phases

My political journey is shakey.

  1. YouTube atheist phase (2013-2015):
    1. I watched atheist YouTubers like MrRepzion and TheAmazingAtheist, my entry points into liberalism, but I also picked up some anti-SJW stuff from them (yet I thought that feminism is OK).
  2. 4chan /pol/itically incorrect phasr (2016-2017):
    1. Went to 4chan because I thought it was a funny meme site. I browsed random boards, then started going to /pol/, which I've found intriguing. I picked up conspiracy theories, reactionary views and bigotry from there and naively believed in them. I still have consequences from it. I should've stayed away from it. Left 4chan due to "manlet" memes. Came back to 4chan in 2018, but I mostly browsed the Undertale/Deltarune thread.
  3. Reddit liberal phase (2018-2020):
    1. I was curious about it because 4chan hated it. Became progressive again, pro-EU, LGBT rights etc, yet some subs I've visited we're sometimes critical of progressivism (HURR DURR EU HYPOCRITES). I've visited Serbian subreddit, which was centrist, there were pro-EU liberals and also occasional right-wingers. There were also posts about "Western hypocrisy", criticism of activism during George Floyd protests, rants over Reddit "censorship" which I didn't like. I also made socks to post things opposite of my views, out of spite. My main and sock accounts are long gone. There was also a sub called r/watchredditdie, which is a 4chan /pol/ infiltration.
  4. Tryhard Orthodox ultra-nationalist phase (mid 2020): Thinking that I was wrong for being a woke pro-EU liberal after being overwhelmed by right wing nationalist and genocide denialist viewpoints, I've decided to go 180 again-
  5. Being red-pilled about PRC with Nathan Rich (early 2021): Out of "spiteful" curiousity I started watching Nathan Rich who was a China apologist. I hated this guy. I don't like Chinese Conservative Confucian Legalist government.
  6. Anti-vax and Christian fundamentalist phase (mid 2021): Had a bad nightmare, so I've decided to drop video games and become a fundamentalist Christian again. Started watching Bryan Derlinger and Steven Anderson and visiting jesus-is-savior.com and NaturalNews.
  7. RationalWiki phase (mid 2021-): While trying to escape conspiratorial and religious fundamentalt views, I've found about Rationalwiki and started lurking in it.
  8. YouTube liberal phase (2021-2022): Started watching people such as David Pakman and Kyle Kulinski. Shortlived.
  9. YouTube leftist phase (2021-):
    1. Started watching Kavernacle, Hakim, Second Thought (though I am wary of their "only West is bad") etc. I'm not fully leftist, because I still have prejudices towards minorities (non-white people, non-cis people). I try not to be prejudical as much as I can. I also still object some parts of religion, such as Islam (anti-pork, anti-music, covering faces at all costs (in some denominations), dogmatism) and Buddhism (anti-worldliness), Hinduism (woo); tribal and rural mindset and antipathy towards progress. But I also don't like some modern things (prevalence AI art, overabundance of cars etc.)
  10. Sangheili (2023-): I like Halo, duh.
  11. Now:
    1. Idk what to be. I have a brainrot and a bit of crank magnetism. It seems that the edginess and /pol/ thing haven't left me. The more I run away from it, they chase me back.
    2. I also don't feel secure for having untraditional and progressive worldview, so I am thinking about changing my mind to be secure, free and accepted.
    3. Conspiracy theories being popular, misinformation, Russian invasion in Ukraine and pro-Russian sentiment, anti-wokeness, Sweet Baby Inc. controversy and Trump's victory are some of culprits.
